CHANGCHUN FUTURESCOPE FILMPARK

The World’s first HoloPort® installation, located inside the pioneering Futurescope Film Theme Park in Changchun, China. A park showcasing the latest in film technology, Laserland’s HoloPort® provides guests with a stunning and wonderful experience of lights, laser, video and sound, blended in an immersive 3D environment.

Changchun: HoloPort® Concept & Show Developement

A fantastic journey into a magic world, a story created and developed by Laserland’s show designers, music editors and creative authors.

As with all Laserland shows and concepts, inspirations and ideas were discussed and basic sketches developed. All members of the creative team, from the animators, to creative directors, to music coordinators, programmers and effects editors were involved in the idea conception process.

A rough story was developed and storyboard painted, detailing how the scenes would be built using video, effects, laser and sound, on not one but multiple layers, harnessing the full potential of the HoloPort® for the client. The storyboard was slightly reworked and finalised, as the production and assembly of music occurred. Upon creation of a beautiful soundtrack, Laserland’s animators and artists were set work building the environment and characters. Programming commenced as the pieces and components of laser, video, sound and music began to come together in a visual scene in Laserland’s eminent studio in Bavaria, Germany.

As the story infolded inside the Laserland HoloPort® studio further animation and rework continued to fine touch the elements and atmosphere of the story. After final review, the show was packaged and delivered to Changchun, were Laserland's technical crew had already completed the hardware installation. Final adjustments were made on site by the programming team to perfectly match the show for the FutureScope Film Park's environment, character and ambience.

A breathtaking show, coupled with a state of the art technical installation, sees a wonderful and worthy addition to the revolutionary cinema spectacles at the FutureScope Film Park, Changchun China.
